madness mere

I saw a ship of material build
(Her standards set, her brave apparel on)
Directed as by madness mere
Against a solid iceberg steer,
Nor budge it, though the infactuate ship went
down.

-Herman Melville, The Berg (A Dream)

The missing entry in the account of November Game Night. Our second game, the MAD Magazine game. Fabulously left-handed. Move counter clockwise. Lose all your money to win. Oh yes, and always roll with your left hand or risk encumbrance with filthy cash if you are caught right handed as Capt Jack was at the beginning. Would definitely play again if only because the rules tax the brain so little.

Greetz from rainy, bookish Portland! Man, how I wish I could have been on hand for that What-Me-Worry night. I'll buzz you at your "undisclosed location" shortly with an eye to hooking up on our visit in late January. Hoping to get on the Xmas CD list, too (my treasured send-off CD is right here by the stereo)! Take care and warm regards to the whole Sventastic crew.
