The question I have about The Rapture is: what if it happened already and the number of persons taken up to heaven was so small and the rapted so insignificant that nobody was any the wiser? Want to see it again? There you go. Same thing with the Martian invasion. What if it was so stealthy that no one noticed until key figures had already come under Martian control and any evidence removed and explained away?
